The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...

BCHer Denise admits she is unhappy for the TBs who have to stand in their stalls 23 1/2 hours a day. (She’s the one who was in the short video of Chrome reacting to the fans after the Hollywood Derby.) Well, Denise, Chrome had afternoons hand-grazed and Sundays out in the grass field in Newmarket as well as hand-grazing after his morning workout and two mile walk to and from the gallops for morning exercise. But you BCHers think it was a ‘hell-hole.’

They continue to ooh and aah over his fantastic weight gain but admire faithfully the Ripley photo of Chrome in all his racing-fit physique (slender). I can’t determine if it is being hypocritical or merely clueless???

Took a while but Secretariat finally sired a Derby winner many, many years after his death.[/QUOTE]

I know how they did it. They got the idea from watching Jurassic Park and they extracted DNA from Secretariats dust, infused it into the egg, and listed Lucky Pulpit as the sire so C.C. could be registered! Easy peasy

Then he goes to Art’s barn where he will spend 23-1/2 hours a day in a stall and Art will have to get all of that excess weight off that everyone is admiring.

Do they realize that Martin could have easily sold Chrome to the Japanese if all he was interested in was the $$$$$?

I so want to caption some of today’s photos…

I age with you (name deleted). I ask myself why has God allowed th continual future torment of this majestic horse. So unfair. I want so much for our champion to have the life he’s earned. We just have to pray that God will keep him safe & by some miracle he won’t go to Dubai or England.

:sigh:

Yes, like the ‘favorite’ one of him laying down in the straw. I’d label Chrome saying, ‘Oh, God, please make those BCH people go away! I can’t face them another day…’

Ok, I know this isn’t nice put I can’t stop giggling at the hairdo of the woman in the purple shirt who is standing with her hand on his neck. I am trying to figure out what decade that is from, 70’s maybe?! Anyway, she looks like she just stepped in a pile barefoot, not like she is meeting her hero. Very funny photo! Wish I wasn’t banned, I have lots of pictures of him I could post.

To be fair there is another picture of her smiling the next day. Well it was posted the next day but it may have been taken on the same day as the shirt is still purple. Early 80’s hair. We had lots of curling iron burns on our foreheads…LOL makes me nostalgic.

The hair is probably not as obvious in real life. But then again I have a soft spot for bangs and the poof! Hey at least it is not the hairsprayed straight up bangs from the mid eighties. The ones where you had to hang you head upside down and then hairspray the ozone layer to oblivion…

The BCH (aptly named) page is not about “California Chrome”. just a few crabbing because they believe they’ve lost paddock privileges and will no longer be the center of attention in their circle. Perhaps if they took the time to work they too could have something special of their very own. Pity.

I keep wondering - if Cali Chrome returned to racing and started winning everything in sight, what would be the reaction from the BCH lunatics?

One of their fundamental arguments is that Chrome stopped winning because the Martins wore him out and broke his spirit. So if he started winning again, there goes that battle cry…

They have another pic of her sitting outside Chrome’s stall and someone adds the comment about her shirt being purple – that Chrome might suspect she is VICTOR. Uh, I don’t think so…

I wonder why TM broke down and let endless people come into Chrome’s stall so closely and stroke him? Doesn’t seem the smartest thing to do with people who may be inexperienced around stallions (he’s famous for nipping) – especially in an enclosed area. They could be stepped on or worse… (Wonder if they ‘slightly sedated’ Chrome just to take sure he would be calm – like when his mane is pulled and teeth floated, etc?)

Did you view their video clip of two people individually going up to Chrome as he stands in his stall behind the rail-guard? Both of them get nipped at. And now one proud BCHer states twice that Chrome tried to bite her.

If I was Chrome I would have wanted a cc of ace before this event LOL

I would have been looking for something a whole lot stronger.

Yep, like that made her special :disgust: If he’d really gotten a hold on her, she would’ve worn that wound like a trophy

And they are all so in love with Bayern’s owner who decided to retire Bayern because he loves his horse. I so want to post that it most likely has to do with the he fact that the horse hasn’t won a race since the Breeders Cup last year and not because the owner loves the horse so much that he doesn’t want him to race any longer! Not enough profit coming in!

Gee, if CC’s owners hadn’t been so “greedy”, they might have kept him home to love and never raced him. And all the BCH crazies would never have known he existed…

Yes, later on, she feels the bite is an honor, and another agrees. Amazing…

Another prolific BCH commenter has her photo proudly taken in Chrome’s stall – it does not appear that she followed the administrator’s directions to express the BCH view about Chrome being retired to the TM management!

I tire of these people. It just bothers me that there are a couple of thousand members , some of which who may be swayed by these folks odd ideas.

Christ. They brought God into it.
