The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...

And one of them is so upset that the term “out there” was used in place of saying California. Therefore Taylor Made must not have CC best interest at heart…

and Chrome hates the rain & mud, not like AP. Chrome hates to get wet dirty mud on his face.

That was posted by BCH herself. Does she know the horse now? It amuses me that she so happily speaks for him. He’s never raced in the slop, so how would she know if he likes it?

Actually, I think his exercise rider said he handled muddy workouts just fine. That’s not a race, but if he’s really “the best horse ever”, mud won’t be a problem for him.

Nobody will admit that he’s not actually the best racehorse of all time if he loses, though. It’ll just be Martin’s fault for deciding to run him in the dangerous mud. It wasn’t so dangerous when they cheered as AP literally riverdanced over it in that washout of a Preakness!

It’s all very interesting. There is an article out about how Coburn did the right thing. Selling the horse to save his “life” was how Carolyn put it. The reality apparently is that Carolyn sold Chrome to obtain a house. But of course she’s not going to say bad things about Martin in the interview. She’s just going to slander him on social media that’s all. Me personally, I’d love to get into business with a guy for $2400.00 and get the kind of return the Coburns got. No work just photo ops.

I sure would not complain. Yet slandering the guy and his wife is obviously still on their agenda.

Like Laurie, the Harris River Ranch Farm manager posted on the BCH page. You people are stupid!

Interesting that all the ‘other’ Chrome FB sites had several photos of his Jan 2nd public work at Santa Anita, but the usual gang of BCH members (who vowed to post numerous pics and videos of their day trip to the track) failed to upload any. Even Ms Guzman who was planning to beguile Art into a visit at Chrome’s Los Al barn (and posted to Victor’s site that she ‘had a gift’ for the jockey) is silent with her postings. The unfortunate Fran admits that she had tried to round up a group of ‘investors’ to purchase the minority share of the stallion but fell short. And how did she ‘know’ that the Coburns would be willing to part with their ‘family member?’ Were those ‘negotiations’ looking to race the horse, or send him to the breeding shed? Mind-boggling. Not surprisingly, she concedes defeat in her proposition.

As they are still connected to the Martins through the other Love the Chase offspring, it is surprising that the Coburns still seem to lament THEIR decision to cut ties with their beloved Chrome by unloading their share (and now appear to be hit by seller’s remorse). It will be refreshing not to see their ‘circus antics’ in the pre-race paddock from now on. Time to move on for them. They made their decision, and it’s now a new year.

The real word around Santa Anita is that Carolyn is being sued for defamation and it is not coming from Martin…go figure. Who might it be?

Wonder if Ms BCH will ever be brought to task for what has been posted over the months on her site?

Carolyn C actually did mention numerous times that they needed to be bought out of their partnership with Martin when she wasn’t going on and on and on about poor them. By my calculations and despite Carolyn going on about they didn’t know anything about anything, I’m going to assume that they receive monthly board bills, etc., for all the horses, including Love the Chase.

The smart thing would for them to wait until LTC was safely in foal and then announce to the senior partner that they wanted to sell their shares and that if Martin and/or Taylor Made didn’t want to or couldn’t, wouldn’t they have the option of offering that 30% onto the open market? That foal-to-be would certainly raise the overall value of the entire package, methinks. Also, since according to the BCH crowd they were particularly attached to the 2-year-old filly, now California Chromet, they could probably swing a trade of sorts into the deal and she could live happily ever after in their backyard.

AND–they certainly have all the rights in the world to go to SA or Los Al and watch all of CC’s works. Guess they haven’t, though, since we haven’t seen pics.

The Coburns actually did that with Chrome. They shopped him for 8 months. They tried to hide it from their partner and Chrome’s fans. They bullied Martin in public all the while; yet didn’t realize Martin would get the calls. It’s in one of the plus stories and posted by media on Twitter.

You are well within your rights to fend them off, but for god’s sake don’t “be-rate” them.

:lol: I’ll get down on my knees for you if there’s somebody around to get me back up since my knees can be a tad unpredictable some days.

Definitely bring your cane. You can “accidentally” slip and maybe knock some sense into a couple if you come into close proximity.

Is it any surprise that BCH members are denigrating the new silks now being pictured on Chrome sites? Would never have seen THAT coming!?

And finally (posted in an LA Times article by BCH themselves), proof that Chrome has so many cookies that they will go stale before they are eaten (stated by Perry Martin). Karrie Farrands and Ms BCH are actually thrilled to hear it! Instead they should be humiliated for the farce of wasting good $$$ on snacks the champ will likely never consume. The stupidity continues. Too dumb to notice that there are no thank-you’s for the cookies (whereas they would probably be shown appreciation for any monetary donations to charities they might forward in Chrome’s name).

Hopefully the Coburns should exhibit good judgment and stay away from Santa Anita this weekend. They are old news and have had their pay-off.

Oh dear and one of the crowd didn’t realize it was Alan Sherman holding the blinkers, thought it was Perry Martin. The new colours are quite classy IMHO, though I don’t care for them much on a chestnut but he’s not a show horse so who cares as long as he runs fast when he’s wearing them?

I imagine the Coburns will be watching Hope’s Love race. She’s entered at another track on the same day (Golden Gate if memory serves).

Every time I think- move along nothing to see here…more craziness erupts.

Its the gift that keeps on giving. :applause:

I know. It is sad that I continue to find this stuff entertaining…

Bring Chrome Home Kerri Farrands Will you be in the Paddock with Ryan

Riiiiiiiiight. Because nothing says classless git like waltzing into the paddock with your lil demon spawn after maligning and insulting and demonizing the horse’s majority owner continually or wanting to stage protests in the horse’s “name” at Santa Anita, right?

I’m almost embarrassed that my friend, James, is even Facebook friends with that twit.

Another reason to be thankful we race standardbreds. I haven’t been at a track yet where just anybody can waltz into the paddock unless they look like they belong there (go in with a harness bag or two over your shoulder and some barely look at you for some reason) or security doesn’t know them by name and tags them for their license.

Maybe your friend James is just friends to watch the trainwreak?

Coburn family member JJ Melton appears to want to win the ‘most nasty jibes to the Martin’s’ award for the day as the new silks are the latest topic to slam. Wonder if he would change his tune if he realized that probably Taylor Made was the most influential in the selection?

Today’s gem from BCH

I would like to thank Chromes owners Perry Martin & Taylor Made, along with Art & Alan Sherman, for the time they took to acknowledge the hundreds of Christmas cards Chrome received this year from his fans…Oh that’s right, they didn’t. My point…Chromes Owners & Trainers have no idea what PR is. Steve & Carolyn Coburn & Willie Delgado were the only part of Chromes team that had a relationship with his fans. Too bad jealousy reared his ugly head. In the words of a famous thoroughbred owner, “Chromes Camp should be thankful everyday for the attention fans are bringing not only to Chrome but for the entire sport of horse-racing. Most owners only dream to have a thoroughbred as famous & loved as California Chrome” #Californiachrome #taylormade #sanpasquel #santaanita #stevecoburn #artsherman #alansherman #shermanracing #dubaiworldcup #martinracing #carolyncoburn #williedelgado #coburnsofhopeslove #dap #hopeslove

And I see that my comment about maybe sending money to TB rescues instead of cookies to Chrome was hasn’t been deleted! Is BCH asleep at the wheel?
