The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...
It will never stop
I only recall the over the top Chrome nuttiness began with the Coburn outburst at the Belmont and follow-up. For me, the BCH ‘thing’ only seemed to appear with that ‘petition’ to interfere with Chrome from traveling to Dubai/Newmarket. When the plans took a turn, and the horse headed to the UK to contest Ascot, it fueled their mis-guided passion (putting it mildly). It should have ended long ago, but they latched onto the ‘Coburn cause’ and ran with it. Too bad Chrome was unable to fulfill some success in the UK which hopefully would have given them less ‘perceived ammunition’ in their eyes to carry on. I still think if that babe is not getting compensated for the website, I’d be more than surprised.

I’m very drawn to expression/presence… Which is why I loved Barbaro so much after seeing him in person. He was lovely, but it was the way he looked at people that I found so appealing. Look of eagles, or what have you…
Absolutely. Great description - he had the look of eagles.

Sorry to hijack the thread.
AP is interesting, such a supremely good athlete, wrapped in a package that could be any of the CANTER horses at the R&R farm that let you lay down and nap with them.
Lol…well, until you look at him for a long time. AP is not only really, really well put together, he’s actually way bigger than I thought he was! Not just height but length-wise he’s actually huge. But he’s such a plain bay, not to mention such a teddy bear, he doesn’t come across as big.

For me, I’m too much a racing person, I don’t care if a horse is “correct” if he can run without snapping something. Heck, I play Dortmund and like him quite a bit when he’s sound, and I think he’s got the pig-ugliest head I’ve seen in ages. Don’t care if he’s ugly, mean, or kicks, as long as he wins.

jj is at it again. Lol. Perhaps if he finds a sufficient no of blogs to ding the other owner his inheritance will go up.

So do you all think that these “fans” will have something to say about every mare he covers when he is retired to stud?
I can see it now…why can’t he run off into the sunset with his harem…he doesn’t get to enjoy it in that clinical stud barn setting…what no foreplay…what if he doesn’t like a certain mare…the list goes on and on LOL

90% of them are clueless about anything to do with the breeding shed. Horrors - he might need to have a stud chain on and that is EVIL!! And then we have the person who constantly repeats the same comments about racing being cruel and how all TBs who can no longer race are slaughtered and so on and so forth… why is she posting on a racing Thoroughbred’s fan page then??!

I like the assertions BCH herself is making that there have been no photos of CC and his new exercise rider at Meydan - and how the sainted Willie and CC were always open to the public last year yadda yadda yadda. Even though she herself posted one such photo - and there are many excellent photos out there already. What kind of a bubble is she living in? And why are so many gullible enough to believe her?

jjmelton should be ashamed of himself - for being so transparent and egging on the clueless and the easily misled.

Well, you know, Ms BCH (two letters shy of being something really bad, lady might wanna think on THAT) says that Chrome isn’t like other racehorses. Good thing I wasn’t drinking anything when I read that.

Where has JarJar Melty been having his frothy mouth rants lately? I didn’t see anything on Bloodhorse’s.

The BCH page is my daily dose of entertainment.

Lol. Another cut and paste blog from Paulick Repeat.

The talk about the abscess is bizarre. The abscess occurred while in Sherman care. They happen all the time and no one is at “fault”. None of this makes any kind of real sense. Why not call for the trainers heads to roll? This group’s explanations simply lead to trainer neglect. Which is not the case.

No need to read everyday. The story is always the same.

Once in a while there is a gem (slamming Newmarket and denouncing that ‘the British don’t know how to take care of horses’ come to mind).

(Jar Jar Melty – so perfect!)

Before the publicity of the abscess, they probably that it was a wart of some kind.

Surprisingly, Stevie Barnyard (BCH accuses commenters of coming with phony names and identities, so how this one is among her most prolific contributors is beyond me) is presently on the Martins’ FB page complaining about someone posting a negative entry about Chrome in Dubai and how Ms Barnyard herself tires of blocking that offensive commenter. Is she just attempting to placate the Martins since she is on their page, or is she just plain nuts?.

Oh, NO! Now Ms BCH is vowing to RE-POST the history of last year’s stint in the UK (just in case you missed the last ten months of her never-ending nagging since the Newmarket saga) to ‘prove’ how poorly Chrome was.

Is that because she knows she will have NO news herself to report to her blind followers? She’s already complaining about lack of pics and video of Chrome’s exercise in Dubai. What vacuum is she talking from? There are photos virtually every day of the pair online.
.

Although Ms BCH complains constantly about people who come and dispute any negativity she and her followers spew on Chrome, she is knocking them, saying they come to her website ‘all the time’ to say the same thing over and over, trying (according to her) to pick a fight. – ah, isn’t that what she DOES? Negative incessantly to the point of nauseum?

Want to bet that this article https://www.thoroughbredracing.com/articles/excitement-builds-breeders-snap-shares-california-chrome is never mentioned on BCH?

I loved that article, and I think that Martin and Taylor Made came up with a near perfect game plan to involve breeders with their horse. Loved his comment about the past partnership, BTW. Glad you posted it before I did.

And no, I don’t think they will refer to the article on BCH, either.

It should also put to rest all the hand wringing about him going back to England again. I think this sounds like a sound plan for the year barring any setbacks.
Coburn sure came off as a idiot in this article .

From the article:

I think it actually did him some good to go to England, though I’m not as much of an expert as some of the people on internet blogs

:lol::lol::lol:

:rolleyes::lol:

And per usual, the BCH crowd proves they’re a bunch of clueless morons with an internet connection and a pair of fingers that can somehow mash out some kind of nonsense words. I really wanna call them the B_ _ _CH (you fill in the blanks) & Whinge crowd.

Bring Chrome Home The fact that Martin won’t back down & admit his England debacle was a horrible decision, one that almost killed Chrome, is ridiculous. A Man’s ability to admit he is wrong says everything about their character, integrity & loyalty.

So what does it say about the Coburn clan when they won’t friggin shut up about the past and Let. It. Go? JarJar Meltymouth, we’re lookin at you.

Margaret Peggy Beintum Bays I think this is becoming sickening.please let him get out of this healthy and have a normal life, just for awhile, with the money HE made.

I’m beginning to think the closest thing Margaret Peggy Beintum Bays comes to is a mechanical horse in front of WallyWorld because she knows absolutely zip.

Debbie Spila Liberty He’s their ATM machine.

 Because heaven forbid a horse race and win money, right?

Sandy Solis You are going to use him, Chrome, until there is NOTHING left of him, period----------!!!

Rrrrrrriiiiiight. Whatever you’re smokin’, Sandy, keep it away from me. I’ve got a history quiz to study for.

The Pied Piper of idiots is once again leading her flock into the realm of negativity. There is nothing to be negative about, but they rise up again to screech their unhappiness at — WHAT? Chrome has never appeared better, he is working well in Dubai with his trainer, groom and rider alongside, just won a race after nearly a year absence from the track, and they are miserable once again. The fool who runs that page has nothing constructive to say at present, so she promises to re-post her dire old news about Chrome’s stay in the UK. Her followers put up with that? Is there anyone at this point who has not heard her vicious reporting (with its misinformation along the way) of the summer of 2015 and needs (according to her) to rehash it all over again? That was seven months ago, and still they refuse to move on (much like the Coburns). Tiresome, just tiresome. Being a fan is meant to be a pleasant experience, not misery every morning.

How many times can that woman or her followers keep stating that the owner almost ‘killed the horse’ or that he ‘hates the horse’? Maybe some day she will face the music about it.

For people who can’t seem to ‘let things go’, they sure stay quiet about the worst sour-grapes tirade in TC history blathered by Coburn (who not only blew the good will for the horse but also cemented his true feelings the following day until the shoe dropped 48 hours post-race, and he was reduced to blubbering humiliation and regret on national TV). ‘No TC winner in my life time’ turned into just that one year later, heh, heh…

If Chrome wins his races in Dubai, they will turn into the most glowing, celebratory ‘fans’ as they did after the San Pasqual, and the negativity will fade – until the next competition.

Well, I had to speak my piece on that article. I blame y’all. Lol!

What would these crazies have said in 1940 when Mr. Howard decided to bring back Seabiscuit??

http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-racing/bob-baffert-baffert-eyes-royal-ascot-as-he-falls-in-love-with-england/2026033/#newsArchiveTabs=last7DaysNews

Just wonder what the BCH crazies will think when they find out that Baffert was impressed with England on a visit to London and may consider an appearance at Royal Ascot???

Nothing good probably.

Interesting that BCH supporter Stanley Winstrom is accepted with open arms to the site likely because his posts are down on Martin and sympathetic for Coburn. There recently was another person who posted input that seemed neither pro-Coburn, nor anti-Martin, and they were attacked by Ms BCH and others and accused of being a Martin supporter (they had made their FB details private and unable to access). I don’t remember any issues that the person would have offended the BCH crowd, but their posts are now missing – a fate that Stanley Winstrom has appeared not to suffer, although ‘his’ FB account appears to also be locked down to public eye. Another fake friend of the Coburn family dreamed up by Ms BCH?
