The Maestro has written another book

I could send you mine when I’m done. BTW, it did not arrive last night.

Maybe it burst into flames in the USPS van. Did any catch fire last night?

In the meantime, as we await the new reviews of his manifesto, we can all refresh our memories.

Go to his book on Amazon. Click on “Explore the Contents” and read the first page or so. Even better, click on “Surprise Me.” Like spinning the wheel of fortune, each time you’ll get a different passage.

One was a paragraph offering a free clinic to anyone who’d harassed him online. But first they’d have to reveal their identity. And pay for his travel and accommodations if they weren’t local.

I know he’s made that offer before, in order to prove his expertise, but I don’t remember it being in his book before. Was it? Or had I bleached it from my mind?

This is NOT the Maestro (as far as I know), but it did make me think of him immediately.

Oh, dear God.

Is there a simulator whereby Nick can get ‘real’ dressage training so that he, too, can obtain the title of ‘dressage trainer’? I’m sure that will make him ‘more adept or possibly more knowledgeable’ than the average dressage rider.

 is this a COTH euphemism that I haven’t come across before?

Did you ever see the toy “Marvo the Mustang”? You kind of have to hump along on it to make it go.

Yes, there is such a simulator. You put a quarter in it at Wal-Mart.

That /Reddit actually deleted the entire entry, stating that it was a violation of their rules against shitposting.
But yes, the community destroyed Captain Phony in the time it was active.

Oh good, I only saw that someone had tweeted it, I didn’t see the original on Reddit. Glad he’d had his butt handed to him.

That sounds awfully familiar. I might have had that.

Betcha Nick had one. Where he got his training.

Yes, such a thing does exist. It’s an actual product, sold in Europe, though there may be one or two of them in Murica. It’s basically a video game, where you sit on a saddle and respond to/control the horse’s movements.

….instead of “pilot.”

They’re quite good for showing how you’re distributing your weight, how much tension you have on the reins etc. not too good for teaching you how to keep your seat when the horse spooks sideways .

Has the book arrived @ThreeFigs?

But do they teach you to piaffe/passage with the Humping Method™? Or to have Reins of Silk™?
