xebega, of course I have no argument with the poster that said his horses are well-cared for - certainly each of them gets as good of care as the horse he so sanctimoniously had killed. And what he charges and what people are willing to pay means that for what he charges, he does not have to extend himself in any manner to provide such care.

I keep telling you folks that each of those suspended has the right under the rules to petition for reinstatement as each received a specific letter telling him/her what they needed to do to be reconsidered. Further, you shouldn’t be signing a petition if you are not even a USEF member, otherwise you look like you are just an animal rights terrorist. Being under such scrutiny these days, I can guarantee you that 100% of that business is conducted way above board.
Why would Paul, as an extremely talented trainer who is trying to earn back at least some credibility, or his wife, the brain behind the ‘brawn’ do anything so unbelieveably stupid as to ‘create records’ for the benfit of the USEF?
WHy is it so difficult to comprehend that he IS actually trying to do EXACTLY what the committee is looking for, while trying to salvage a futire for himself and his family?
Please, just stop creating ideas of these wildly elaborate schemes concocted to try and ‘trick’ the USEF, and consider for a second, that his effors MIGHT just be in earnest…

C. Boylen why do you think the state gives people a “farmland” tax benefit? Because a farm is a business yes! an agri-business but a business. The National Federation of Independent Business accepts membership from farms because farms are a business. You have to prove that you earn whatever each state declares from your farm product to get farmland tax credit. We have a national “right to farm” law that protects horse farms and without that there would be no horse farms just private estates with hobby horses.

SheilaH, just to tell the employees what the Federation expects them to do as Members in good Standing who pay their salaries. Those who are not members are stating the fact that it is not in the best interests of the sprt to permit convicted felons to be members in good standing.

As we do both agree, it is a personal decision based on ones own set of beliefs and priorities whether to be pro-Paul, or Anti-Paul.
My only request, as it has not changed, is that people consider that he might actually BE sorry.
I understand that he is not in the company of everyone on this board, but as someone who does see him on a regular basis, and has listen to the facts FIRSTHAND, I know two things.
One, that he IS SORRY>
and 2, that the ‘public story’ is not entirely the truth, and the media has taken control and sensationalized the story tremendously.
There are facts that have been left out, and untruths been inserted.
It is not my business to disclose anything about what I have learned, as I’m certain there is considerable legal counsel involved.
But what I will say is this…I am intelligent and successful person who has been blessed with a compassionate soul. All truths considered, I forgive this man.
