Chocolate anybody??
mwe it is really quite simple as you can depreciate your investment in a horse annually on your tax form you can write off horses sold at a loss against your income and get a tax credit.
They are wonderous creatures who you can appraise as worth a million dollars and then depreciate them as a loss each year they live until the value is expired in their old age just like a tractor or a truck. Sell it for less than it is worth and you have a loss to discount against your profits.
Y’know… Keep crossposting, people. It’s just amazing the number of people in our industry that don’t know this happened. I just heard from another one, GHJA member no less, who had never heard about it.
Boberry, unless I’m missing a point, that’s not McLain crediting anyone… that’s Cayce Harrison thanking the Wards for the help that they have given her.

Youthink…but admittedly, you don’t know. I’m curious when the last conversation you have had with Paul Valliere was.

Oh! Dear anthem35 I surely hope your judgements about PV are better than your analysis of me? I’d love to read some of those stories.
Actually, Snowbird-Suppose my analysis of you comes from not only reading your bitter and cynical posts, but from what I have heard about you personally? That you are a bitter old woman who sits by the computer all day with a bottle of booze and whose daughter decided she could no longer work with due to the same? Might not be pretty, but as I said, I have never spoken to you. Only heard things from the rumor mill. Much like your assumptions about Paul.
Unless, you are his favorite gopher I would imagine you’re not there all the time. I have never seen him take time to eat either and I don’t know him at all. He doesn’t however look either undernourished or over worked. Actually as very attractive man. I can understand why he is so successful with women.
He is very successful with woman. He is very successful with men. He is extremely successful with horses. I’ll be sure to let him know you find him attractive.

And, you know this how? A lot of trainers work very hard especially at Wellington, are you saying he does better than all of them? In all of the elite community is he really the very best we have?[/QUOTE]
I know this because unlike YOU, I am here.
I am not guessing from afar what goes on behind the fence at AWF from my barn in the hills of New Jersey 1800 miles away.
And yes, I really DO believe he is ONE of the best we have.
This Rule is intended to provide guidance for suspended persons and anyone
contemplating taking over the responsibility for the riding, exhibiting, coaching, or training,
of an unsuspended horse from a suspended person.
What exactly does this mean?
Radio Talk, thanks, that’s what I thought I remembered as well. He (Hasty edit - I mean BW) initially got a suspension that would have ended 3 years from now (I’ve got the documentation on that part) but I was pretty sure there was a subsequent appeal OR subsequent lawsuit OR subsequent AHSA hearing OR SOMETHING like that, which ended in a lifetime ban.
Could you PM me the source? Would you mind? It would be most appreciated!
Oh! Come on Cowboy it up! It doesn’t matter who you are if you’re not one of them then you’re nobody; whoever you might be!
I wish the number of posts mattered as to whether or not you’re believable or even immune to abuse. It doesn’t!
I have only dropped in once or twice because you all were doing very well with a high tone dialog. Those who want to believe that a trainer who kills for money is still a horseman aren’t going to change their mind. Ignore them because for whatever benefit they imagine they will earn they have their own purposes.
I signed your petition and my identity has never been a secret. The problem seems to be that this is a whole new generation that has been isolated from the crimes we know have happened. I strongly doubt that anyone has any doubt that snowbird is Vikki Siegel. The chronic whiner and complainer asking questions and raising issues of democracy and fair play for the “little people”.
You did raise an interesting question and I doubt we would eb notified that an applicant has requested reinstatement. Communication is not the strong characteristic of the current administration. We would only be notified when they had been forgiven their sins. As to those who may have been reinstated without our notice well as they all say one flaw does not make a culprit.
I suggest that for next year you propose a rule change that requires public notification before the fact and just after the decisions.
oxer - discussed already. We’re certainly not minimizing the concern over heart disease in women. If people want to think that’s what we’re wearing, that’s ok with me. I don’t shove my bracelet in anyone’s face.
That said, there weren’t an abundance of choices of color…

Tried to sign, and then got this message. I am on AOL - this may have been addressed, but I don’t want to read 47 pages of “woof woof” and David Lee Roth quotes to find it Is there a “thank you” thread to these for keeping this thread front page news?
But…if all 47 pages were all harryjohnson, I would be delighted to take the time
Would be happy to sign, and am a USEF member - help!

I KNEW IT/this is the harry johnson family thread! WOOF, WOOF
What these people can do to truly show remorse, is to do what other have done - and not to save their own butts.
Hackers help stop hackers.
Car Jackers help athorities catch car jackers.
Drunk drivers tour the country doing what they can to change laws, and lecture to prevent others from making the same mistakes.
Maybe all of these people should be working with the equestrian community to find ways to keep others from doing this, SPEAKING OUT AGAINST Horse Killers, AND to encourage tougher rules in the USEF, so no reinstatement is possible for someone that has done such horrible things against a horse.
That is what a truly remorseful person would do.
and where would horse sales be without the greedy bastards that sell them?
OK y’all, THE WEB SITE IS UP.

I still have stuff to do with it but I’ve got to drive out to the farm so I’ll have to catch up with y’all tomorrow!
Fascinating post, jn1193!

So Snowbird, you’re saying you ARE a suck-butt?
Chanda you are correct Acres Wild Inc is not owned by Paul. But Acres Wild Farm in RI is. And is listed with the USEF as active and in good sted. War Admiral did post the link to the information. This also can be validated by the USEF.
i’m thinkin the logic is not so Fuzzy.
andandand…I’m so impressed that a former(“ambivalent” …who…gosh…gee… just askin "I thought I saw paul in the parking lot’) …poster has gone from the camper lot…over the fence… to hang the bastard kinda old guy. And he even has the main gal…Erin… clarifying his posts for him.

And how would you know that to be true?
Hate and discontent, maybe?
