The "NO REINSTATEMENT" thread.

We’re starting to get some good support from The Jockey Club and the Saddlebred/Morgan peeps. One lady who is a big show manager/trainer is printing out copies to take to ALL her year-end awards banquets (and believe me, that’s a lot of banquets, b/c she works in several USEF breeds and is active in all).

Anyplace, I just got your draft & will glance over in a few mins! Thank youuuuuuu!!!

Um I’m pretty certain that The Jockey Club and USEF are two entirely separate entities. Why would you go for support from people who have nothing to do with the organization you are trying to keep someone banned from? Why wouldn’t you go after actual members of the USEF?

Well Done perhaps the thing to do is show the back of the shirt in the site instead of the front where the horses names are listed. I think they give you that option.

Wonderful great job.

Orders have stalled anyone who wants to attach the link to their sites is welcome to do so for the bracelets.[B]

Anthem, why does it matter WHY he’d want to be there?

Yes, that is a great idea! Both Big Dawg and Sheila. It would be fun to see them explaining why they are promoting the convicted horse killers and why they think the way they do.

Thats because you havent read carefully.

And I think that point is now. Everyone is going to have their own opinion on whether or not someone is “truly” remorseful, and I think it’s best to just accept that and move on.

I for one do not care if he is remorseful or not. It doesnt change the facts. The issue is whether he should be allowed back as a member of the USEF. Let him train, sell, ride, whatever…I dont care. I dont think any horse killer should be given the staus of membership. That is really the only issue, isnt it?

Big Dawg has dragged this on in the Breeding Board for some time too, his way of getting entertainment I guess. Trying to stir the pot.

Doesn’t the rule banning him from showgrounds do just that? Why add all this if they can just make them not be present?

We all know there’s been a huge internet move afoot to keep Paul Valliere’s ban in place. However, Marcella has been told that he’s back on the WEF showgrounds…it will be very interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Now if a Sidelines reporter says he’s been seen on the WEF show grounds why wouldn’t the Steward have reported it as well?

I DO know people who have committed these crimes. And i went to the authorities, i went directly to the insurance company, and they told me basically to F**K OFF and that it was non of my business and that this person was a loyal customer of theirs…That’s what i get for trying to save them 15,000$. So as far as getting the Insurance companies on your side…Good Luck.

The correct steps IMO would have been:

 1. Police. File a report.
 2. Report vet to State Board of Veterinary Examiners.
 3. Report incident to insurance company, providing copy of police report.
 4. Report incident to local ASPCA and, here in Georgia, the GA Dept. of Agriculture, which licenses all boarding/training facilities, likewise together with a copy of the police report.

I have a problem with someone who has been proven guilty of - let’s use language you might prefer - manipulating they system being allowed to continue to use it.

That is truly worth shouting. It speaks volumes.

Even more to the point, someone that manipulated the system (illegally) for financial and status benefit, that in their “reform mode” is manipulating the system for their own financial and status benefit.

hmmmm, sounds like someone that has truly changed his ways

Apparently the tiger still has stripes.

don’t forget these guys…

So, tell me. How would the PV supporters feel if PV got back in and was judging a show, and came over to reprimand you for poor horsemanship in an Eq class, because your horse was dirty, or you spurred him for kicking out at your leg, or something like that?
I know, if it was a judge I respected I would be ashamed, but with some horse killer, it kind of loses some credibility. I mean, I would probably blurt out “Well, at least I didn’t kill him!”

And that is the wrong attitude to have towards a judge, but an understandable one. Who wants to have someone that killed a horse, passing judgement on their actions regarding horsemanship and sportsmanship? That’s as good a reason as any, not to allow him to be reinstated.

Robert Brown, as in “Buddy” Brown?

I just wondered because I THOUGHT that only his (then?) wife was involved…

Just curious because there is a clinic (and apparently new permanent location) for Buddy and Vanessa(?) Brown locally and I wondered if it were the same people…

big dawg, please turn off your “caps locks”. It is interpreted as yelling on the internet. Using all capital letters and spouting gross generalizations make you sound crazy.

War Admiral, unless you have someone on the committee willing to champion this for you, it is going to end up filed under waste in the mail room. Not that your intentions are not noble, and not that many are not in agreement, it is simply a case of the federation not being concerned with the opinion of the average member.

Nope…USEF will listen, and they’ll pay attention. The credibilty of the NGB will be seriously damaged both domestically and internationally if the reinstatement is allowed. If the mainstream media got a hold of the story, should it happen, you can kiss any future horse show coverage by any major network goodbye.

Now is not the time to shrink back, but instead to go FORWARD.

I dont think Eric Lamaze has ever been convicted of a crime.

Looks like their faculty-staff directory is online, and most of them have e-mail addresses. Hint.
