I live in the UK. Our murder rate is very low. 11.7 homicides per million population during the year ending March 2022. That means our national murder rate is lower than many US cities.
Obviously, I do know persons with a criminal record - everyone does. Just not murders.
I am so very sorry for this heartbreaking loss. I hope the memories you have of him will be of comfort at this difficult time. 
Right there with you. No matter how many times people tell me I’d love it because…horses, I just don’t see the appeal. Prime time soap opera is all it is.

I agree that you ought to post a tribute to him on here. (If it were me, I might be contemplating a lawsuit after the criminal stuff is put to bed. I hope your horse was insured.)
I hope the horse was insured as well. I think if the horse was insured that the insurance carrier would file a suit to recover its losses from Vick Russell.
I certainly hope the horse was insured.
However, his owner does not owe us any explanation or details.
Again, so terribly sorry for such a tragic loss.
He unfortunately was not because I haven’t had great experience with insurance in the past. It wouldn’t have covered this anyway due to the criminal element of it

Heather of so sorry for your loss. It’s always devastating to lose one of our horses, but it’s beyond words, mainly %$&@, to express my anger and despair for how Harry lost his life.

Did thoe people saying that miss where Kevin Costner had to shoot his horse bc of injuries from a vehicle accident in the first 5 minutes of the first episode? I get that is was best for the horse in the circumstances, but it put me off a bit pretty quickly. The rest of the show put me off the rest of the way even quicker.

If this family has a lot of horses. I think they should give the owner their pick of a group of good horses for free.
I think the perpetrator should be sued into oblivion so the owner gets ALL the horses at a disbursal auction
This is not how the legal system works. Heather can certainly sue for the value of her horse and I would encourage her to do so if she’s not made whole swiftly and without hassle by the person who killed her horse.
No duh. I was being hyperbolic. Yes she should sue and will probably only recover the value of the horse.
