TY that’s great news. And oh what a time of year to be loading and shipping previously unhandled young and old livestock in Colorado.
Epona is 72 yrs old (if I am correct?) I don’t mean to broadcast that but I think that it speaks to garnering a whole ton of respect for what she has been physically and emotionally dealing with this past week. Bless the person that sent her $50 and said make it your gas money and buy yourself a cup of coffee and a lunch out there and the people that are in effect helping foster one of these babies or mares. That’s a great spirit and show of support that someone really needs when they are working this hard to do some good on this earth. Having this support from good-hearted people keeps all of us connected in the kind of ways that we all need to keep going. I feel like it energizes all of us.
She has to pay for help with the shipping, too many for just her own trailer and she needs physical help; and she is using another place to quarantine what she gets. So she’s paying for that also.
I hope that all of these get placed where their bloodlines will be preserved and appreciated. It’s a long road of medical intervention and ground work training to make them presentable. Most have never been haltered! nor taught to lead. So this is quite the undertaking to even transport them and then do the necessary vet and farrier care. not to speak of the daily management. Epona can’t get knocked down by a big wild baby anymore. We all know the scenario.
So everyone hang tight and we will get our seasonal miracle.
