Waps horses ran through Sugarcreek Auction?

Ok folks, I got him to agree to $1300 and a $600 stipend to the rescue. THEY NEED TO SEE A VET ASAP. We need to raise $1900 and the babies will be safe. The paypal is wwfmpayitforward@comcast.net
This is a 501c3 so within COTH guidelines and is referring to the four foals that are in the worst shape.

What if one does not have PayPal?

Not sure, maybe contact the rescue directly and ask? They are on FB at BAIL Before All is Lost.

$ 200 just sent.

Thank you!

I didn’t ask directly but inferred that Bentley died as opposed to being slaughtered but don’t know that for sure.

Balance needed is all the way down to $170! Thank you

I love Apps, and the Appaloosa for sale Facebook pages show up on my timeline. I am disgusted by how much overbreeding goes on with that breed. Ad after ad, for unbroke horses under 3, broodmares, stallions, all non performance horses. All about breeding more. Ads that say things like “Need gone for next years crop” “Herd dispersal of last years yearlings”. It is horrible.

I also see the kill pens posts. Guess what? Lots and lots of Appies. I wish those Appaloosa people would change their ways. I blame, in large part, the ApHC. They are run by breeders, and their agenda is breeding. Plus, they are for slaughter.

It isn’t just appies, it is QHs and Paints and Arabians too. It is sad.

are they in custody of a real rescue or still at the broker?

I was working this morning so missed all of this. All I can do is send a heartfelt thank you for doing all you have done. And thanks to the OP for bringing the situation to everyone’s attention.

Which rescue has them? I’d like to help out if I can and I’m drawing a blank on the clues here.

The rescue is BAIL Before All is Lost. Search that entire phrase on FB.

I’m so grateful for the updates and relieved to hear they all seem to be landing safely. I’ve forwarded the information given in this post to a few people interested in giving homes to these horses.

I knew COTH was the place to go, you all rock.

Ok so while searching for information on Waps Moonshine for pedigree background for a horse I ran across this post. I was in total shock as it the guy that works for sheriff’s office that his has happened. Horses were given to and individual that deals with horses a lot and all horses were supposed to be rehabbed and rehomed. NOT make there way to Sugarcreek. I do have contacts and can put people in contact that ended up with horses to see that papers are gotten etc. Sick to my stomach to find out this happened.

Confirming that Moonshine and most of the others are now safe. Incredible group of people worked very hard to save them.

I just went back and read the 2013 COTH thread which included information on these horses including Bentley and Moonshine. So they were left there at that farm even though they were in bad shape in 2013? We need a better alert system since we could have saved them 3 plus years of starvation.

I’m trying to find out from rescues if there are a couple of older mares who need homes from that farm.
