We need some cute Kitty pics to cheer us up

I’ve been able to handle the kittens a bit more and found that there is a second kitten with a kinked tail. One is much less obvious than the other. Two broken tails? Maybe a genetic thing? I’m not sure how two kittens in one litter can end up with broken tails.

In any case, this still fits the “cheerful” thread because the mom and babies are gaining weight and the the mom (I’m calling her Pepper) is settling in. She’s a sweetheart! Very protective so she growls and hisses at any new visitors, but she’s really a lovebug. Give her half a chance and she’s all over you, purring like a motorboat.

Kitten!

Yes, well, the Itty-Bitty is in SERIOUS trouble this morning.

I’m in the bathroom, getting ready for work, when I hear a god-awful crash and the sound of cats scrambling and dashing away.

Miss Itty Bitty got up on top of the fridge and knocked off a pair of antique candlesticks. Both are broken. At least she didn’t shatter the marble bases, somehow; I think I can solder them back together. She spent the next 20 minutes following me around the house, trying to explain how the candlesticks tried to attack and eat her and it was self-defense on her part.

Find Peep. She was mentioned upthread and her peep game was strong this weekend!

One of my cats (Roughy - orange and white) has a kinked tail. His tail is also a little bit short. When he came to my place, he was a young cat but not a kitten. His tail was like that when he came to me so I don’t know if he was born that way or not. When you feel the tip, there’s definitely a bend in the tip. He doesn’t really like it to be touched and examined. It doesn’t seem to affect him at all, except he swishes his tail around more than my other cats.

Glad the mama and kittens are doing well! How many kittens are there? Looks like 4?

Oh, she is definitely back to normal. Glad to see Mom is keeping her sense of humor.

You know very well she was scolding you for putting those items up there for her to trip over.

Itty-Bitty would NEVER do anything like that on purpose. We have seen her cute innocent face.

Yes, four kittens. Still no success in getting good pics yet but it’s three tabbies and one tabby-and-white kitten.

And funny, my cat Marie has a short tail, too. No kink, just missing the last third or so. What is it with these cats and their tails?!

Got close-ups of my elderly girls (that’s quite an oxymoron!) last night. Peach is 13 this year and Sadie is 17. Where did the time go?

Absolutely gorgeous Golden Girls!

Love the spot on Sadie’s nose.

Not the best pic of Bonnie because she kept moving, but this is the littlest cat in the house. With the biggest attitude. Currently being treated for renal failure.

I fell for the advertisement for the Cat Cave a while ago. In my defense, the cat does use it daily! This is Little Bit, who got promoted to inside cat because all the boy cats outside were beating up on her.

My cats would LOVE that. Where did you get it? I googled and there are tooooo many choices.

She is very cute in her little cave. The slightly annoyed face kills me.
