That’s a great story!
In dealing with pet rescue I see so many cats and dogs (and bun buns) that are dumped or neglected. This woman that cannot afford a home but she has the heart to help a “throw away cat”. It’s wonderful.
^^ That’s one happy kitty!
This made me CRY.

OMG I LOVE him! hahahhahaha
I had my hip replaced on 1/16. Of course she wants to be in my lap but my left thigh says NOOOO. So, she has taken up residence between my lower legs. She can get quite comfy .
Are you healing well? A friend recently had a hip replaced and she stayed in rehab for 3 weeks. They got her walking pretty fast (timeline) but she still has some pain and gets up and down really slowly.
How can anyone not love cats? Check out this little rascal and the way his milk thievery is handled.
Skid, aka Squidward, whom I inherited when my parents passed away in November. She’s 13 now and has adjusted to her new home surprisingly well. She was always ill tempered and cranky. Only after she was here a few weeks did my husband discover her collar was cruelly tight. Her rabies tag was dated 2019, so I assume it’s been that tight for that long. We immediately tossed it. She’s done a complete 180 since then and gained weight as well.
Yes. Doing pretty good. I have mostly shucked the walker and cane. I do take my Nordic poles with me when I walk. The PA says that is what they want me doing…walking. Got in a mile yesterday at the mall (due to rain) and did a mile today around the neighborhood. I had an anterior approach and boy howdy is my thigh sore…the pain meds I have don’t do much for that. Apparently a bunch of that comes from nerve damage that should resolve. The joint itself it working peachy keen. I have had next to no incisional pain, just the entirety of the thigh. It is getting better but it is slow.
My walking is pretty slow. It takes me about 26-27 minutes to get my mile but then I have never set any speed records.
Poor girl. That tight collar would certainly make one cranky.
