My point was that the people producing this don’t realize that the core audience really only wants to see the horses and nothing else.

I need to find a way to watch coverage at work…have Big Brother on the payroll, so have to toe the line.
But in between shots of musicians and members of the choir and even shots of sheet music, the Opening Ceremonies are first rate!!!
Which is why I am so frustrated I cannot watch them…
I lost the feed at one point and had to go offline and start again, then 2x bufferings, but the rest of the evening has been trouble free.

REALLY. My heart is just breaking for Michelle McFarlane. She spent so much money bringing those horses all the way from California and nobody even got to see them if they weren’t on site. She was the only person who really TRIED to do something special among the ASB folks. 
I think the opening ceremony was probably awesome in person. And it’s unexcusable that they didn’t research their audience at all. 95% or more of all the people watching this would have been much happier with a shot of the musician at the beginning, show the performance, then a shot of the musician at the end.
I’m about to take back what I said about “This Land is Your Land” if Ronan Tynan sings “God Bless America” aka “To Bad So Sad for the Rest of You.”
Just hope a church group doesn’t try to adopt them.
