I imagine it will be announced in the next couple hours, who will be on the team and who will be the individual for Canada and US and other countries with 5 horse/rider combinations
really curious to see if they will pick as individual, the person who has the best chance for a podium finish if not constrained by team goals

I don’t think the team has a chance at the podium, so I’d put the person with the best chance as an individual as the individual. IMHO that is Ariel. She’s had the best performance of US riders in big overseas events.

you know, EVERY time I go to the site on CMH they offer a ‘free’ trial month. They do not seem to acknowledge that I have already paid. There better not be a problem when I have to crawl out of bed at 2 am.
And on a totally unrelated subject, I have to think the eventers are the most passionate on the forums. I just checked back on dressage and SJ world championships threads and we already have more than twice the comments than both of them put together!
The US team riders (Will, Boyd, Lauren, and Tamie) all have experience representing the US on teams at the highest level. Tamie didn’t get to compete at Tokyo, but she was there. No pressure, but I think it’s time for them to collectively deliver. Even if they do that, I don’t think the team podium is likely. When all is said and done, I personally will be happy if the team finishes solidly and secures qualification for Paris.

Does CMH let you watch live AND/ OR the footage that you have missed?
I am leery of their free trial, concerned about the ability to cancel the subscription successfully. Anybody done this with happy results?
Yes, CMH will let you rewatch. Overall it’s tons better recently and cancelable. I’ve bashed the site quite a bit in the past but seems they’ve gotten their act together. Horse and Country OTOH …
Unrelated, what qualifies for Paris, team top 6?
I doubt it. They SAY that you can have a free month, but when I signed up, they wanted and submitted credit card info.
Yes top 6 qualifies unless France is in the top 6, then qualifying goes to the top 7. Since France is the host nation, they are automatically in. That’s my understanding.
That is true, except this time around it is the top 7 (or the top 8 if France are one of the 7). You are correct that France already has their spot as host nation.
So for the jog, the American male athletes wore professional looking, branded zip ups over button up shirts and ties. And the American women athletes wore… purple skirts and fedoras? 
Anyone else seeing a disconnect here? Just me?
