That was a wonderful work of fiction…that was a train wreck I followed across several boards, never failed to entertain.

Absolutely none of this is accurate.

Is barefooten an actual word? I kind of like it, pigeon German? “Yah he is barefooten”

I seen it in the dictionary.

He’s right about long toes, heels running forward, and no sole depth are common errors of farriers. I see that all day long at local shows and my area. Not saying every horse, but even on this forum a lot of horses feet that get posted (not all) have toes that are too long and heels that are running away from the back of the foot.

Gotta say, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything by him have some truth to it.

Everything else is extremely questionable.

What happens when a hoof is untouched and grows disproportionately long? Long toes, under run heels, lack of proper sole function. So IMO, those characteristics are not solely created by humans which is why I believe it’s erroneous to say.

Don’t know if you noticed, but (circling back) our friend Northern Lightness responded to that post.

Yes just noticed it. Here is a copy of what she wrote to me, after I asked for the qualifications of the person doing the voiceover. I guess it was her.
Quote: Loretta Lucas Sure - I specialize in Kinesiology and biomechanics and identify horse kinematic abnormalities. Then I carefully peel back the layers of compensations and eventually the broken horses that come to me, have a shot at being sound? As long as the pathology from this type of riding and training is not too permanent.
So my experience isn’t how pretty it looks, it is how functional is it anatomically? Will it sustain the health of the joints…
Also, people outside of the horse world will look at this video and see the message very clearly.
People ensconced in their personal blinders and fantasy will not.“

I guess I have “personal blinders” on.

:joy:

W T actual F does she think that word salad actually means? I’d love to know what she thinks is anatomically correct in any of those painful videos

I’d love to know if she studied human anatomy or specialized in animal science. Huge difference.

I spent a long time in the vet field and the way she speaks makes my eyes roll to the back of my head. Even the many specialist vets I worked with didn’t try so hard despite much more complex subject matter.

None of that references qualifications, so I’d guess it’s neither.

Was wondering the same thing. Any turns or changes of direction in those videos only remind me of a large sail boat coming about.

She also appears to be proudly treating a horse’s eye injury with lavender… :grimacing:

How does that saying go -

“If you can’t explain it to a 5 year old, you don’t know the subject well enough.”
