I love Wilson Pickett! I have a friend who called him Pistol Packin’ Pickett from that time he pulled a pistol on his road crew in Louisville.

I love him too. Are we showing our age?

Here’s another version by Robert Parker which was actually a bigger hit than Wilson Pickett’s cover, although I’m more familiar with Pickett’s:

New nameless kitten was zooming around the house when this came on hence her new name.

Pickett also did the most amazing cover of Hey Jude with Duane Allman. Perhaps heresy but IMO better than the Beatles.

In my opinion, this is the best Wilson Pickett did:

I find it really awkward when im teaching an educated adult woman and she tells me shoes are evil and shows are mean to the horse.

Now she’s critiquing Boyd Martin. You know since she has proven to have such excellent skills in the jumper ring herself… Lol

It’s really hard to take anyone seriously who believes every horse competing is lame yet she trims her own horse’s feet like this:

Maybe she could critique the self induced club foot walking Olympics.

This is beginning to remind me of the Standardbred trainer who constantly worked on her horses’ feet to the point of bleeding and suffering - because she was “fixing” them and no one else understood her genius. Fortunately this person is not quite as extreme…

I was thinking of that same trimmer myself. Almost like Munchausen by proxy. Or a very sadistic vengeance towards horses and or/owners/vets/farriers.

That was disturbing

How can she not see the dippity-do curvature she has created? Makes me crazy!
