What's the story behind your bb name?

Pretty self explanitory. I like to go fast. There’s nothing like bombing across a field at full speed, wind in your hair, blinded by the wind-created tears, nose running. My signature line came about on my 3rd ride on Storm. We’re going to be a great match! He likes to go fast (and WHAT a gallop), I like to go fast…I think he’s one of those once in a lifetime horses.

I lurked for a while and saw the re-riding clique, and the re-riding concept, but since I really can’t say that what I am doing is riding, more like bouncing and thumping and falling off (poor horses), I had to be honest and say I was re-something. And that explains the Wannabe in the sig line too.

my horse’s name

my horses name, jay
and we always say justjay when he does funny stuff

Emryss is Irish Gaelic for a horsewoman. I, too, had a hard time figuring out a unique name!

My mare was an ex-racehorse. I’m not very creative…

I am scared of coops. I have been scared of coops since I was 10 years old. I have been scared of coops for over 40 years. I will jump them but my heart is in my throat every time. I doubt I will ever get over being scared of coops.

Mine is derived from the fact that I ride and foxhunt mules…some folks in my Hunt started referring to me as “the mule lady” and it has kinda stuck!

It’s my Oldenburg mare’s registered name. It’s the only horse on my farm that I actually can ride(although a couple of youngsters are starting soon!!!), the rest are broodmares, retirees or youngsters. I actually don’t like the name and never call her that; we call her Rio, but that was already taken and I was too dense to just think of saying Rio “something” to make it unique. I always figured I’d change my BB name when I thought of something better, but now everyone knows me as Clarion, so I think I’m stuck with it.

She’s just the sweetest, most affectionate mare in the world…just beware when you visit her though, she likes to lick your face like a dog, and at 16.2 and 1500lbs, that’s a BIG tongue!

I plan on changing my horse’s registered name from “Franks Apache Sun” (ugh!) to “Dad Said Not To” because my dad has been dead set against me buying a horse, thinks he has some kind of input for this decision even though I’m 27 and am no longer living under his roof, and has no idea that I own not one, but two horses.

Abbreviated version of my farm name.

I dunno if I responded to this already or not, and seeing that it is on page 11, I am NOT checking.

I had a friend named Augustine, nickname Auggie. I called her Auggers one day because it is the name of a tool, and I think at the time she was being one (it’s been years). She called me, a Jennifer, Jenners back. DH, who was DF at the time, heard it and liked and that is what he calls me. When I signed in, I signed in as The Jenners because I am the only one!

However, since then many many folks have determined that it is my last name and I family-oriented enough to have my screen name a family declaration of “We are the Jenners!!” Not true.

Lack of imagination?

ALso, my very first post could be considered inflamatory (anti BW), and I didn’t want to be accused of hiding my identity.

My horse’s show name is Simbalism. Different and don’t have to worry about it being taken.

I grew up on the farm where I still live. My father named it Mac Mountain Farm in 1962 when we moved here. After he passed away and I moved back here I opened up Mac Mountain Tack Repair… MACMTN

After winning a couple of classes at a large “B” show…a barn friend (who does the AO’s) said to me that “the AA Hunters were nothing but a bunch of old ladies ‘propped up’ on expensive horses”. My horse was green and not that expensive, but I took on the name anyway.

Crouching Cheese

Because, well, I wanted something original.

When I was younger I used to use the screen name CheeseGoddess, but when I decided to change my life and ignore my past (well, forget it really) I wanted a change in my screen name also.

Therefore, whilst watching tv one day and trying to think of a new name, I saw a commercial for the movie “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.” I thought it was a crappy movie, but I like tigers and dragons, and cheese!!!

And since Crouching Cheese Hidden Dragon was too long, I shortened it to Crouching Cheese.

Been my screen name for everything since.

Because…

my 16.3 gelding thinks he is a pony.

At Liberty was my “heart” horse and even though he is gone, I still use his name in memory.

KristiKGC because…
Kristi-my name
K-Kai, my 18h gelding
G-Gambler, my greenie
C-Cheyenne, my dog (I couldn’t leave her out! )
