I’m from Texas (tex), my name is Angela (ang) and I was born in 1973… hence texang73…
“two sticks” has two reasons behind it. The first was watching one of the little girls taking a lesson with my trainer on this built-like-a-tank paint horse, who like to drop which ever shoulder you didn’t carry your crop by. after endless amounts of crop side switching, she sighs and goes “Why can’t I just have TWO STICKS?!?!” I nearly fell off the fence laughing.
Also- I’m a very broke college student with barely two sticks to rub together.
This is very interesting! Mine’s pretty unoriginal - ScotTNMe is a combo of my horse’s name - Scotty - (foundered 23 yr old Anglo-Arab) & Me - still together and still hanging in there. I’ve had him longer (16 yrs) than any of my other horses . . .
I am laughing
   I never realized this is what scaredacoops was!!
Guess mines pretty simple - Brock’s my middle name but there’s already a “Badger” on the Forum (who also resides in Kansas to further confuse everyone). Mrs KSB is the rider in the family (check the website) although I rode as a child on the edge of Exmoor.
“Texang73” - thought that was a Texas Air National Guard squadron - I work with aircraft too much.
Some great names here - but have to say my favorite name has got to be Propped Up !
Another Re rider (after thirty years) .
I’m another one that got fed up trying to get back on the board after the changes. I used to use a horse’s JC name, but it was a horse I had for hardly any time at all, as it turns out. I didn’t want to use my current horses registered name in case it was some kind of jinx LOL.
I had just read about Incitatus in one of the UK horse mags, a little article on legendary horses. Apparantly he belonged to Caligula and was treated like royalty. Caligula was going to make him a Consul but unfortunately the emporer was killed before this could come to be. He would have been the world’s only horsey politician.
I looked at your BB name and has to do a double take…I used to own and train a horse named INCATOTUS. Very close in spelling.
My BB name comes from my first racehorse that I owned and trained.
Very boring
I’m and event rider and I was born in 1955. . .
i have an ottb and i ride dressage. thought it seemed appropriate.
And here I thought it was because you like to INCITE US to riot! (said with an italian accent)
My name comes from a Total Annhilation unit, named what else Shodan. The Roman numerals meaning 8 are there so I can keep track of the other Shodans. There’s Shodan, Shodan IV, Shodan VI, Shodan VII, Shodan - 259, Shodan 26, (2) Shodan VIII, Shodan VIV and possibly even more.
wow- am i having flashbacks or are there lots of revived threads? i think i answered this sometime before, maybe not, maybe i’m just having private flashbacks. anyway, beameup - i’m a star trek fan, and often seek relief from the absurdity of living on this planet.
Welllll…
I love James Bond as its my dad and I’s favourite movies to watch together, and at various stages he’s driven Astons…so that is one rationale.
They also happen to be my favourite car…
Finally,
My last name is Martin, so I figure I could torture kids one day with a name like this…however, it wouldnt work unless I hyphenate
Pretty borring though,
But, DG Ribbon Ho, i’ve always been curious what the significance of that was so THANKS! haha
Our farms are on the Todd/Morrison County lines and named County Line Farm and people have called me County for years.
People call me Ruby (my names Rebecca) and the Rock part is an inside joke at school and i was born in 93
The j stands for my first name: Jennifer
The l stands for my middle name: Lynn
gordon stands for my last name which is: Gordon (who knew?)
When I got my first college email address it was jmosher15… and the 15 stood for the age my OTTB was at the time, so when I got married i just changed it to jlgordon15… Even though Mick was 19 at the time and is now 21, I decided to keep the 15. This is pretty much my id for everything, much easier to remember!
My name is NHR
Yes, this is an old thread, but since it’s up again it gives those that missed it the first (second, third,…) time another shot. Well, speaking of shots, my name has to do with the shooting sports. The center ring (bullseye) of a target is called the ten ring, as in 10 points. Many targets have an X (X-ring) in the center of the ten ring, used as a tie breaker in competitions. At the higher levels of competition, most all shots are placed in the ten ring, so the winner is determined by the number of shots touching the X.
I chose my name after a very successful A circuit jr. hunter named Playing Games…The horse debuted in the very late 70’s at the age of 6 and was at the top of the game through the 80’s…I grew up with the rider and family who owned the horse first…
