What's the story behind your bb name?

Cowboylogic

I had been in NZ for 6 months and when I came home I heard the song Cowboy Logic and found the part about opening gates and real cowboys to be really funny- so I named my one horse that and then used same name here.

Gee, mine has to be really imaginative.

Silly Sunny. Sunny is my QH and he’s often one of the silliest in the herd. I should have had something with Athena in it (my beautiest name  ) but I was lazy and I just wanted to start POSTING!

No imagination here either  …daughter’s favorite pony, Rainbeau’s Northern Belle.

I used to be in the Roller Derby. Because I was smaller than a lot of the girls but I always tried very hard, my coach called me Mighty Mite.

I teach ballroom dancing. I’ve had twnkltoz as my screen name all over the 'net since I started dancing in 1995!

it was my email address at Penn State. My initials and “101”, which for some reason all my college buds seemed to think was awesome. i started college right as the internet was taking off (94), so at the time I used hey101 for all my log-ins and userids, and it’s what I’ve used ever since.

I named myself after those cool nesting dolls. I have a collection, and it also happens to nicely describe my mental state. I may look one way on the outside and can be totally different on the inside. Don’t confuse this with being “two-faced.” I’m genuine and honest, but my well runs deeper than first appearances would lead one to believe.

My father calls me “Crusader Rabbit” because I take up for underdogs and often take on causes that seem hopeless. I wish I had thought to use it here! I could also have used “Pitt Bull” because I hang on like one when I sink my teeth into something I believe in. So many choices…

I want to hear the story behind the person who chose “smegma.” I know what it means, but I’d like to know why he/she chose it.

I play the didjeridu. Didgeridoo. Didgeridu. Didjeridoo. Whatever. Didgery is good enough for me!

Meadow36

Meadow = my first name is “Lee” which means “of the Meadow” in Gaelic
36 = the last number on a roulette wheel

Mine isn’t horsey related as I joined before I had my horse. I have always had an affinity for wolves, even was priviledge to be owned by an 85% gray wolf hybrid once and well, I’m pretty much a loner. I get along with just about most people buy never really belonged. And as for the 13, well, LoneWolf is pretty much always taken so 13 is my favorite number. It’s pretty much my standard screen name everywhere.

Not much mystery behind mine. Majesty is the name of a well loved horse I owned as a teenager (long time ago…). He was an abuse case that I got at auction dirt cheap. Most of his barnmates had to be put down because they were too far gone. For financial reasons I wound up having to sell him. I have unfortunately lost track of him over the years. I did keep track of him, and one day I went to see how he was doing, but he was gone as were his owners…

my bb name stems from my birthyear ('88) and that I love to ride Tennessee Walkers. I know, I know…not very original, but hey what can I say:)?

No terribly exciting story behind my name either…
SLPEDERS was my user ID at work when I set up my first
online account and I’m too lazy to create a new one for
each place I log on, plus I’d never remember multiples!!

the nag part refers to the old mare that I am.

when the aol first started in the 80s I had this mistaken idea that having nag in my name would reduce the sexually explicit spam.

silly me.

Ah my sweet Miss Bri

not very original here…

my mare’s nickname is Miss Bri (that’s Bri like sky, not Bri like brie) - she’s a pretty little thing with a healthy temper and an opinion on most everything - but very polite and gentle - I bought her in-utero, she’s now 23 - we know each other quite well.
It’s pretty much my screen name everywhere.

A few reasons:

  1. 15.2_bay_gelding just doesn’t have a ring to it.

  2. It was my response when my husband asked “why do you have that look on your face?.. what kind of animal is it this time?” I said, "He’s just a little brown horse… "

  3. It stuck… “come on little brown horse, time to get cleaned up,”… “oh no, little brown horse is covered in mud!”…“little brown horse, you can’t eat THAT!”

  1. I was 13 [now almost 20] when I made my BB name [hence the “horseygurl”]
  2. Blink182 was my FAVE band [again, I was 13] so I took the “182” and added it to my name
  3. I really need to think of a new name lol…it was fine for a 13 year old…for someone who is almost 20, I’m thinking it’s time to “grow up” a little.

I had this wonderful mare whose barn name was April and whose JC name was From the Heart–didn’t really like that. I like one word names and my trainer’s grandmother used to say this rhyme:

30 days has September, April, June and no wonder everyone is eating peanut butter except my grandmother and she drive a Buick.

And no I am not intoxicated–that’s just how it went, hence we came up with no wonder and I changed it to Knowonder–which has been butchered by several announcer who thought she was some sort of European import

Man do I miss that mare–she was my once in a lifetime horse…

Another boring one…

Jen (my first name is Jennifer) + Rose (my middle name) = one original screen name!

Not much imagination to mine either. When the hub and I moved here to Central NY we wanted to name the farm. Okay - so what do we name it? His first name is Mario and my first name is Lisa so we took the first few letters of each and viola- Mar-Li = Marli. Farm name is Marlifarm

http://www.Marlifarm.com

I had previously been known as “Toto” on many of the other forums (my own included), but I hardly ever participate any longer and COTH is really one of the few forums I do frequent.
