What's the story behind your bb name?

When I was a child we played a board game that had a character named Skeezix that was tall and scrawny–which kind of fits me

I was there way back in 1996 - before they moved from Arvada to Longmont/Hygiene. I was the Sunday barn manager and a member of the Adoption Committee and spent countless hours out there every week.

If your write z-x on a piece of paper then turn it to the right to read it vertically it spells NIX which is my maiden name.

Dizzy was my nickname in college, when I enjoyed indulging in…well, no need to go there.

Writing is what I do when I’m not working at my day job, riding, or being dizzy.

Chernobyl Horses

Mine’s my horse’s name–how original, I know, but I like his name and it fits him well. His full name is Pusher’s Ridgetop Ghost–he’s a big, snow white walker. I can just see him coming up over a rise and standing there posing like some sort of fantasy creature with his big, arched neck and long mane and tail. He really is spectacular (if I do say so myself), and I’ll never know how I got so lucky as to have him all to myself. Makes me giddy just to think about him!!!

I think he might have more magical sprinkle dust than a gypsy vanner even–like those pictures of Pegasus with all the fairy sparklies flying off the wings. Then again, could be that I’m heavily biased towards my big fella, and perhaps a little bit nuts???

Well…I try to show the hunters, or at least I HOPE to show the hunters reasonably well…so Hopeful Hunter it is. Plus, it was a bit more positive than some of the alternatives I had…

Another one who used her favorite horse’s name as a handle.

This is the real Sing Mia Song at Eastern States in 1986. Wonder of wonders, I actually have my mouth closed. I must have seen the photographer ahead of time.

Mine’s boring, named after both my horses

It’s my horse’s show name, i think half of the people on the board did the same thing. It was esy to think of and it’s kinda cool

Boring here too - MissBri is an affectionate name for my very special partner. I bought her in utero, took care of the mare during gestation, was there for the foaling and did the mouth/nose swipe. I was the first thing she saw and smelled. We’ve been together for 22+ years and have been through our share of fun and follies.

Here’s a little page of her

Because I am nuts over this color combo,

I can’t ride my mare cause “shelame”

Well, I’m a Florida native, live in Florida currently and mainly breed Thoroughbreds. Put it all together and ya get “FLAbreds”

Mine is my monogram. Or at least how I have everything monogrammed. I actually keep my maiden name initial (A) in the middle instead of my new last name initial (S) because I don’t like the two S’s together - pretty silly huh???

On August 21, I got an all white cat (with blue eyes…and yes, she’s deaf!!) for my birthday.

Her name is Rain ( or RainRain, or Miss Rain, or KittyKitty…yes I’m obsessed!! )

Hence, WhiteRain821 (color name date)

I always thought I was born to ride. I painted pictures of horses before I could even read or write. Unfortunately my parents never realized the potential and I got no riding support when I was a kid

My sister is too and we both now have a horse, which is still totally incomprehensible to our dad.

I was actually quite surprised that nobody else already picked this name. So, thanks guys, for letting ME have it

'Cause I am.

One day the horse dentist was at our barn, and as he worked I was repairing several leadshanks that any sane person would have trashed. There used to be a discount clothing chain around here called Frugal Fannie’s that advertised on TV alot. When the horse dentist saw me, he started to call our place Frugal Annie’s farm.

Reuse, repair and recycle. That’s our mantra here!

How uncreative can a person be? Not being in the mood to think of a name I used the one my parents gave me and of course there was already a Susan and why the heck doesn’t she post here? So last name inititial will do, probably a mistake. No one should P in their name.

My girl is bright orange

DG, time to change it to Ribbon 'Ho .

RR is LLC for farm. Farm is “Fox Hall.” Reynard is fox in french, Ridge refers to the ridgeline behind the house. Voila.
