@BigMama1 …Sshhhhh. If we voice our concerns that any “side information” is over the top in any way whatsoever… it is “uncalled for”.

What “publication”?
To play devil’s advocate they may not of looked it up on purpose if they have paid her through venmo it seems the app would have that scrolling on notification. ALTHOUGH they did decide to post that information…so there’s that.
Who cares?
As for how Venmo works, you can search for anyone you want, as an example here LK, and you can see who they paid, and their explanation for it in either words or emojis but you can’t see the amount unless you were either paying or being paid by her. If you’re friends with the person their transactions (again, not the amount unless you were directly involved) will show in your “newsfeed”. It’s a bit much that people are going so far as to check to see who’s she’s paying and gossiping about it but it is easy enough to see.
I use venmo all the time. LK happens to be a "friend " on venmo. So it pops up in my feed when she pays someone or someone bills her. So, no, I don’t go searching for her.
That’s so creepy and I too would never use this service!
That sounds super creepy to me as well. Is it so that you can get mad at your friends if they pay other bills while they still owe you money? I just don’t get it.
I don’t understand why you are internet “friends” with someone you don’t like as much as you don’t like LK. I’m beginning to think you do this so you can do what you are doing here. “Omg guys guess what her bf is on her payroll. Omg guess what she just posted. Omg looook!” I mean WTF.
As an aside I used Venmo once to buy a cooler from a CoTHer . Didn’t know it was public before this thread. I won’t use it anymore but not really concerned if the general public can see how much I paid for a wool cooler.
There’s so much in this review that reads like horse newbie BS see my comment in red, above.
@Angela Freda in reality not all emergency colic calls end up with a horse at a clinic. I have had 4 colics in 21 years and not one went to a clinic.
Way to miss the actual point.
Which was what? You directed readers to your point in red as an example and that example is not true for all cases. Also I’ve been to barns that randomly spring holding costs and such as described in the first paragraph. I’m also pretty sure there is a distinct difference between moving barns on a property and moving to be under 24/7 vet care. New neighbors can stress a horse out. So I’d be pissed too.
Man I get y’all think she’s a POS and I agree but this nit picking, splitting hairs stuff is out of control.
Since we already know LK is an unreliable narrator and goes full on troll periodically I don’t see the point in a close reading of any of her posts. They are all contradictory, mean spirited, and self promoting, and borderline illiterate to boot. It’s quite likely nothing in this post is true other than that she boarded at this barn for a period of time. She just says whatever floats to the top of the cesspool when she’s mad, and doesn’t care what it makes her sound like, whether it makes her sound like a naive absentee owner or whatever. She’s just out to insult. I say this not knowing her obviously but it’s a clear enough pattern from the material quoted on this thread and we all know people who do this in real life.
I’m using close reading in an English professor way, meaning reading with care for nuance, theme, internal contradictions in the text as if the author actually put some thought into the construction
I get that but the poster was taking it at face value and calling her a newbie. For what reason? To point out more of her deficiencies? Except in doing so said poster was off the mark. I’m sure that post was BS and not because of what she said happened but because it’s LK.
ETA: I see your addition to your post. I am reading with nuance. Those comments were made because it’s LK. Not due to actual content. So the comment in red and at the end of the quote, in my opinion, is a weak attempt to bash someone for no purpose than to what? Feel better about ones life? Because we all know LK is full of it.
I read it as she was saying it was BS because it read like someone with no horse knowledge. The colic portion was in regards to the statement claiming that you don’t move a horse with colic. That is not at all true.
Yeah, I think we basically agree here!
I think when people discover yet another tidbit in the vast LK archive they want to hammer home that hey, she’s being wierd mean and making up stuff as she goes along. But trying to parse LK’s posts like they are being written by a normal person with a normal relation to facts and causality can make the commenter look a bit obsessed too.
I’d say her posts are at least 50% fabulating on average and possibly up to 95% when conflict spirals up in her life. So criticizing them for silly statements about horse care is beside the point. She’s just taken what floats to the surface and tossed it at the wall to see what will stick. Knowing that about her is useful in following this case.
”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹
I used to work for LK. She paid me thru venmo…but not like I need to explain…
Wait, you drop that little tidbit on page 198?!?
No, it’s not creepy. I use Venmo all the time. My profile is set to private, so nobody can see my transactions. I pay my board through Venmo. I pay my trainer through Venmo. I pay my house sitters and/or dog walkers through Venmo. I bought lottery tickets for an office pool and all my co-workers sent me $2 (or more) Venmo payments. For all these people using Venmo for other stuff, if they don’t have their profiles set to private, their transactions show up in my feed.
I venture to say there is no one on this forum who knows LK as well as Haleybot does…all the good, bad and very ugly.
