Nothing to do with permission, you said you were leaving but apparently LKs FB post was the pertinent info you needed…but since you know all about everyone involved I figured you would have had that info already.

LK was in NC for a long time

Thank you, I was confused lol Guess I didn’t do enough internet stalking.

Good. You should do so, including police reports. After all, they are often preliminary.

Just a FYI, no stalking required. It has been mentioned in this thread quite a bit.

Ha, me either! I only drop in periodically and have no idea what sacrifice paddocks have to do with anything. WTF? I guess that’s somewhere in the most recent 3000 posts

The real estate listing for the property mentions sacrifice paddocks and someone posted that they wondered what the realtor thought people were going to do in those paddocks, so the term was explained and we learned that it is not a term used everywhere.

LOL. The farm is pretty enough I’d burn some sage and carry on!

I do not play on FB so I am not a “friend” of LK’s to see her posts. This information was totally new to me.

From watching the court footage, I’m guessing he was saying to his lawyer “Can you sit up straight, try to look respectful, and semi professional?” No wonder he’s got a new one.

Watch it again. MB leans over and says something to his attorney and then immediately the attorney makes another statement about them being squatters or whatever. MB talks to his lawyer and the lawyer interrupts the judge to say something. Maybe a guess on my part but a pretty good guess. Also interesting are the 911 calls MB makes, in two of them when asked if he is in danger from them he says no. One time he says no, then someone in the background says something and he says something like well we could be. One call he is asked if they are near him and he says no they are at the house they live it. He is using 911 emergency line for a non emergency. LK’s call to about the black van was on a non emergency line. MB is very clear in his calls he is calling cause he wants them out. The third call looks like when they came up to the barn, there are two woman’s voices in the background. The barn manager makes a 911 call after the shooting. The police come and settle that dispute by setting up times the boyfriend can come to the barn to take care of their horses. Too bad they all couldn’t have acted like adults before and worked things out.

Actually yes, Eggbutt clearly stated she believes getting shot was 100% LKs fault.

I don’t see any reasonable doubt that MB shot her. The only legal question up for debate will probably be intent/pre-meditation vs crime of passion / self-defense.

I agree at this point.

Same.

And I think the word “sprawling” was edited out of the Times article, along with LK’s age.

With all the editing, how much of the original article is left?

Yes, I do. She created the situation, she remained in the situation and she provoked the situation. Everyone likes to say MB had so many other options and that definitely goes both ways.

One thing LK has never explained is what she expected the outcome of her actions would be.

My belief that the fault was hers does not mean I approve that it happened. As someone else said in one of the 4,000+ posts on this thread, it wasn’t a matter of whether it would happen but when due to her extreme past provocation of others. Let me restate I DO NOT CONDONE THE SHOOTING OF LAUREN KANAREK.

LK wrote that she feared for her safety but didn’t do anything - nothing - to remove herself from what she deemed an unsafe situation. Offers to move her, move her animals, spirit her away in the night were all refused. At the very least you would think she would want to see her horses to safety.

Reminds me of when Mount St. Helen’s was going to blow, but LK opted to play the role of Harry Randall Truman.

“Harry Randall Truman, 83, became somewhat of a folk hero in the weeks leading up to the eruption after he refused to vacate his home near Mount St. Helens despite being urged to leave by officials.”

She shouldn’t have been shot. I’m relieved that she is alive.

Yes it does go both ways. THEY BOTH created the situation. I know it’s hard for you to see both sides since you are naturally going to be biased against LK, but remove your connections for a moment.

They both are at fault, they both created the situation. MB could have easily walked away, or not driven there.
