The MSM is getting their info from the shooting victim and the preliminary police reports. There is no story from MB and friends. They have remained silent as far as I know. At least MB et al aren’t putting anything on social media. Maybe they are talking elsewhere but not on social media

How do you know what MSM source is? And are the police reports not accurate?

Leave your business? Your clients? All the things put in place to summer at their NJ farm, like supplies already purchased (hay, shavings,feed…). Make your staff move back at a cost to them, monetary and otherwise?

Ask clients, who may/ likely live in the NJ area, and lease when in FL to just pack up early, incur more costs in an already pricey sport? Risk losing those who prefer to do summer shows where they do summer shows rather than go back to FL? Leaving jobs, families, etc?

I’m not sure what he owns in FL… but he owns the farm in NJ.
I think this is a better question for LK and RG who have another home, and did not have any stake in MBs home in NJ, such that he should have left instead.

If it comes down to my and my families safety yes. That is something I would do rather then end up in jail. I’m selfish that way. There is no monetary value I can put on my freedom. So yes, I personally would go to Florida early and explain to the clients why. That’s also why I asked the question of how much the clients saw. I know if I was a client and saw that amount of crazy I’d be gone in a heart beat. The area is not hurting for UL dressage trainers.

I believe I read somewhere that her dog attacked MB while there? Was that info from someone in the know or was that one of the theories? Where I’m going with this is I’m wondering if the dog attacked him before or after shots were fired.

The dog bit someone and was unfriendly to officer responding to said bite, according to… news sources, likely 911 or police reports, Iirc.

Ironically, this is one trait that lines up perfectly with typical killers. Most, not all, but most of the time, friends and family can not believe the person they know could do these things. It has to be THE most common comment made by associates of murderers, serial killers, rapists, etc after the fact. Psychopaths/sociopaths hide in plain sight, not letting their true violent ways known to anyone around them.

it doesn’t seem to me as if MB has been quietly waiting his whole life to have the opportunity to murder someone. I don’t see any real evidence he’s a sociopath.

Besides the NYT article, are there any follow-up MSM reports or are they all from the first few days after the shooting? Perhaps there was one or two after the court hearing? As far as I remember, all the info in those MSM reports were from the bf, the 911 calls, the preliminary police reports. They all basically said the same thing, no one article was written too differently from the others. But this is all from my memory; I’ll gladly stand corrected if there are other MSM reports (that weren’t posted in this thread) from later dates with up-dated information

You are right we know very little. But we do know he used a gun, against unarmed. In NJ that doesn’t qualify as Self Defense.

Unless he didn’t have the gun to begin with. That has yet to be proven. Only LK has said he “whipped out the gun”, “had the gun out to shoot”, “waved the gun around”. There IS the possibility LK and RG had the gun (if the gun actually belonged to RC, no one has verified, nor has information been released regarding where she had the gun if it was hers), and MB was attacked and a struggle ensued during which time LK was shot. It is a perfectly feasible theory at this point in time considering the smoke and mirror versions produced by LK.

Again, they KNEW he would be coming to see them in a rage after CPS left the property. Were they waiting for him with their premeditated victim explanation in hopes of shooting HIM? I know that sounds amazingly far-fetched, but wouldn’t surprise me in the least with her hatred and jealousy of MH.

It is also just as logical to believe after CPS left, MB went to where ever he knew this gun was and decided it would end it that day. WE SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW other than there are many questions unanswered and LK keeps revising her version of events.

As I understand it, MB invited these clowns in, and apparently did not check references, past trainer history, nothing. Moving strangers in to share a home with children and not even so much as a Google search? As a potential juror, I would want this clarified.

I’m sorry but some statements by LK you say we should believe and others you don’t. Either we can believe what she says or we continue to think she’s full of it. You can’t have it both ways to fit your narrative.

We have had this conversation before but I will repeat myself - LOTS of normal people carry a gun with no desire to actually use it. You (general) just do not realize they have them since they are not waving them around and saying ‘look here, normal person with a gun not using it’.
Saying normal people do not have guns on them so that means this person must be crazy and premeditated is a serious case of standing on your head and squinting to make something work.

But he wasn’t a normal guy who carries a gun. He grabbed an available gun that wasn’t his. If he normally carried it would have been his gun. Instead he picked up the available gun.

I was in a training class in Austin a few years ago (for some software my company was using). We were eating lunch with the instructor one of the days and the subject of guns came up. He asked if we realized that 95% of the other trainees (appeared to be upper middle class, white collar professionals, for what it’s worth) in the room had guns on them. It’s just no big deal there. That was quite the eye-opener, lol.

Pretty sure if the police found evidence of another weapon, his lawyer as well as the judge would have mentioned it in the bail hearing.

I have my LTC and didn’t learn that gun safety 101 was don’t carry a gun unless I actually intend to use it. I am not sure your wording is correct…

Wow really? Not my experience. I have never not heard a concealed weapons instructor say that. Maybe that’s the difference? I was going for a concealed permit?
