Word to the Wise: Lesson Reminder for Everyone

How can I define “open”? I’m still trying to figure out which wheel is squeaking?
Is it open, like open for breeding? Aren’t trailers female?

You better figure out the squeaky wheel soon or one of them will fall off . . . I speak from experience!

PeteyPie, thank you, as always, the voice of reason. And could we have some stick art, pleeeeeze. A bowl of guacamole, a blue saddle, anything…

Was OP going to take the pony home across multiple state borders sans coggins? How was that going to work?

As soon as we establish whether “The Trailer” is mine of the OP’s, then I can recommend a suitable place for tires.

Some places try to talk you into siping tires, but that’s not worth it. While it may help in wet weather, you lose traction in dry conditions. It is not worth the money if you need tires for all conditions. In case you are curious “siping” was named after the guy who invented the process in the early 1900’s.

All my equines have coggins reports.

The avocado lobby is funding this thread, I swear it.
Did you know that Jason Mraz has an Avocado farm and supplies avos to his local San Diego Chipotles?

It’s true.

Will avocado oil help with my squeaky wheel? Any thoughts?

I have three avocado trees. Nienor nienor.

I once went canoeing with Jason Mraz. And your mention of him has me laughing, as it always does.

Yeah but in this story the OP hadn’t been given a coggins report or a signed contract and yet had the trailer open and ready to go.

Wait, I thought PO OP were in the same state?! Off to check PO’s location…

She would only need it upon release of the pony.

Can you drive across Florida and still be in Florida 7 hours later? I guess coming from the Delaware Valley that seems impossible to me  PO is kind of in a middlish part. If you drove 7 hours from there, wouldn’t you have to end up in another state?

Which is yet another reason that it was kind of crazy to think she could just load the pony and go. That’s my point.

Sure, depending on where in Florida everyone is. It’s like I can’t explain to people from MA that I can drive the same amount of time it takes to get from MA to Michigan and STILL be in Michigan.

And I have no guacamole. I’m really sad. I had sweet-potato tortilla chips with salsa and sour cream but it’s just not the same.

This has really turned into an internet pile-on. Where do you draw the line between having fun and sounding like a bunch of mean bitches? Maybe around page 50.

For the record, I don’t know OP or PO, and I don’t take sides. I just don’t like mean girls.

Thelwell advice that would possibly help the OP and PO:

Well maybe not across because it isn’t so wide, but a little bit across and a long way down could certainly be 7 hours.
