Isn’t just the top 25 that go tomorrow? Then that leaves most U.S. riders out doesn’t it? Only leaved PD and KOC? Please correct me, I hope I am wrong!
I remember, she was back in the tack before her feet hit the ground. I am especially happy for all the women, keeping my fingers crossed one of them gets the individual gold.
And thanks again to everyone for their commentary, it is greatly appreciated.
Wow, recordbreakingly awful day for Canada.
All of it - the coverage, the horses, the riders, the venue - was absolutely fabulous. (sigh)
Amy - top 25 after SJ (max 3 per country) show jump a second time for indiv medals

No, all remaining riders get to jump a round, that decides the team medals. THEN, the top 25 individuals get to go for another round (silly Olympic rule), but no more than 3 from any one country… so a couple of German and British riders might get screwed.
I won’t get to watch the replay until later, but hearing about the lost shoes and slipping by some of the horses makes me wonder if tomorrow’s jog will have more horses spun than usual.

Everyone will do the first round to determine the team medals. Top 25 will do a second round to determine individual medals.
Thanks for the updates! I was hoping that Apollo would remain in medal contention. What a gorgeous animal.
Phew! Thanks for clarifying! We might have a small chance then.

Good point. Could be a major shake up tomorrow morning before even a fence is jumped in the ring.

Footing looked pretty soft…I think a few will not be presented but not as bad as if they lost shoes and ran around the cement footing we have right now. Even some of the really tired horses still looked to be moving ok at the finish. It will be the toll of the hills that take out more than the lost shoes.
There will be a lot of body work being done in the barns tonight…and lots of ice.
Oh my god, that video of Karen hanging on is amazing! And yes, thanks for the responses, I wondered if he would have hung on and swing back up of her vest was not inflated. Now I see that the horse was part of the problem.
It seemed to me that there were a lot of just bad luck falls, more than actual issues with fences/poor riding. I saw at least 3-4 like the one in the water and rebecca over the brush skinny where it just seemed like one of those poop happens kind of moments. These riders probably haven’t popped off like that all year and it happens in the biggest event of the year!
Glad to see for the most part there dd not seem to be major issues, although still a few hairy moments.
A fair number of XC fences jumped by braille today, and a fair number of pretty tired looking horses at the end. I bet a few will withdraw and there will be horses spun tomorrow a.m. Is the jog going to be televised / streamed?

Actually, there were a lot of ‘popped off’ riders at Rolex this year.
Wait! No more than three per country? What about their scores? That’s not fair!
Ingrid’s horse has never SJ cleaned at in the 24 Advanced level CCI/CICs (*** and ****) that he has SJed in.
