Yes, he is a big boy. So glad everything went well but wish he had been a filly. People are already talking about a match race with Rachel’s colt.

A. Moss posted a photo on twitter yesterday, standing w/ Z in her stall, and the mare looked ready to pop. I’m betting lots of people are breathing big sigh of relief, and you can bet we will get to see lots of pictures of him going forward!

Read somewhere that Rachels colt was 125 lbs, so Z’s is a tad bigger.

Congratulations Team Z! He is a beautiful boy, but, them, I think they ALL are!
I hope both Rachel’s boy and Zenyatta’s boy are allowed to develop without a rush to the Triple Crown trail but I won’t be holding my breath. That’s a LOT of pressure!

Last night, on Z’s diary page, there was a video taken by A. Moss, of Z and the baby. I watched it twice… then it went private!! Another friend watched it too and tried to give the link. By then, it was private … strange… it was cute to see Z nuzzling the little guy… and him stretching his legs on the straw.
