True. Originally (back in the dark ages when I was first commissioned), USAA only served active duty and retired military officers. Through the years, they have opened eligibility to enlisted members and certain family members. It’s now a very large organization.

I wonder if there will be an MB/LK episode of Law and Order at some point? For the number of episodes that have been produced over that franchise throughout the years, they must always be on the lookout for fresh ideas by this time.

Probably not. They’d have to use horses and riders, rent a farm for filming, and do other expensive stuff that would take a significant amount of time and money to pull off. The basic plot could certainly be adapted and the horse elements switched out for more practical and less expensive ones, but it just wouldn’t be “the same story”, that we all know by now and it wouldn’t have the same impact.

They’ve done horse stuff before. They used very few horse scenes. Drama occurred at homes and precinct for most part.

It just wouldn’t be a SVU edition. So no Olivia Benson.

So if I understand correctly, in the state of California girls are more likely to be granted probation than boys for assault/battery while boys are more likely to be granted probation for drugs/alcohol/mischief. While boy/girl convictions of felonies occured at the same rate, boys were far more likely to be sent to adult prison or DJJ.

If anyone is curious as to the disparity of juvenile/youthful delinquents/offenders here is a guide.

When I tested and worked in such a court was awhile ago but at that time a kid of 8 could be charged with murder but nothing else. As age increases so do the number of charges that can be charged. Degrees of crime also come into play. So an 11 year old is not going to be charged with Burglary 3 but might be Burglary 1.

This is why drug sellers often use young kids as lookouts or to transport drugs.

Additionally, in my state things change if it’s not a first offense. It’s very complicated and changes constantly so every test on law given in my state concentrates heavily on juvenile delinquency and youth crimes, the courts involved, the charges and the penalties.

This is also extremely interesting. Thanks. CH trying to discredit you or any experienced in the field of law is very LK-esque. LK loved to belittle law professionals on the thread despite having absolutely no qualifications to do so. But I’m sure you already knew that.

I’m surprised he didn’t just file the motion without asking for leave. Could it be because time to answer has passed? I can see to amend the complaint given service and all.

It’s only 36 hours before the judge was scheduled to render judgement; the judge has probably already done his homework.

Your bizarre take on this is perplexing. Have you read any of the detailed information thoughtfully provided by other posters which confirms KM’s pronouncements? And yet you really find it difficult to believe that gender plays a role in how people are treated in the justice system? Wait until you find out about racial disparities!
